There were seasons in my journey where I watched families fall through gaps that should have protected them. I watched minority caregivers struggle for support that never came. I watched professionals carry the emotional weight of systems that were meant to help — but often didn’t.

And there were moments when I realized I might never be invited to the tables where decisions were being made.

Not because I lacked experience.

Not because I lacked wisdom or insight.

But because systems are not always designed with every lived perspective in mind.

So instead of waiting for an invitation, I built a table rooted in compassion, competence, and compliance.

REAL RISE was created to strengthen child welfare, foster care, court, and family-serving systems from the inside out — aligning policy with practice, leadership with lived experience, and compliance with humanity.

This work is not about replacing existing systems.

It is about reinforcing them.

It is about expanding the table so families are better supported, professionals are better equipped, and compliance strengthens — rather than strains — the mission.

I built this table to create solutions.

To build sustainable systems.

And to ensure that no family navigates alone — or falls through gaps that can be closed.
